LOCAL GENERATION.
LIVE CONTROL.
LoopForge is a Windows-first standalone instrument built in C++20 and JUCE. A supervised local Music3 worker generates outside the real-time audio path while the native engine keeps both decks locked to one performance clock.
THE INSTRUMENT / 04
LoopForge is a Windows-first, two-deck generative loop instrument. A local Music3 model creates new musical material in the background while two synchronized decks keep playing, giving the artist direct control over prompts, musical character, stems, filters and the crossfade.

- 01DIRECT
Choose a style, write the musical prompt and shape Density, Energy, Darkness, Groove, Variation and Weirdness.
- 02GENERATE
Create a new loop locally in the background while the active deck keeps the floor moving.
- 03COMMIT
Listen, accept and arm the candidate for the next bar. Nothing replaces the live loop without the artist.
- 04MIX
Use stems, EQ, filters, drive and the equal-power crossfader to perform the transition by hand.
THE SET ISN'T
PRE-RECORDED.
LoopForge turns generative music into a performance surface. Two decks stay locked to one clock while the artist creates, auditions and mixes new material without breaking the flow.
TWO DECKS.
ONE CLOCK.
NO REPLAY.

Two mirrored generative decks, one master clock and a manual equal-power crossfader.
LOCAL AI → SYNC → LIVE MIXTHE MUSIC
DOESN'T EXIST
UNTIL NOW.
A conventional set recombines finished recordings. LoopForge opens a different role: the DJ becomes a live music director, generating the next piece in response to the room and turning it into a transition that can never be repeated exactly.
THE DJ
BECOMES
THE SOURCE.
The model proposes. The artist decides. LoopForge keeps authorship in the performance by separating generation from commitment: nothing changes on the active deck until the human makes the call.
- 01DIRECT
Read the room, choose a musical direction and shape the next loop with language plus six performance macros.
- 02CURATE
Every generation arrives as a candidate. Keep it, reject it or regenerate it without touching the music already on air.
- 03PERFORM
Arm the chosen loop on a bar boundary, then mix stems, filters, EQ, drive and the crossfader in real time.
THE FLOOR
KEEPS MOVING.

The playheads, bar readouts and master phase were captured from the running application.

PLAY THE RESULT.
Generative controls shape what comes next. Performance controls shape what the room hears now. Keeping them separate makes the interface expressive without letting background AI take over the live deck.

Style, prompt and six musical macros define the character of the candidate.

HPF, LPF, low and high EQ, drive and the crossfader shape the transition.
ONE ROOM.
ONE MOMENT.
ONE SET.
LoopForge is a prototype for how parties could be played in the future: music generated locally, shaped by the energy in front of the booth and performed once. The recording may survive. The exact decision path never will.
