BROWSER VOXEL SANDBOX / 06
VOXEL FRONTIER
BREAKBUILD
DISCOVER
ACTUAL GAME / VERSION 19 / BROWSERBreak the ground. Build the frontier.
DETERMINISTIC WORLD.
STREAMED IN CHUNKS.
Voxel Frontier is a TypeScript browser game built with Babylon.js. A seeded terrain model produces compact voxel chunks in Web Workers, while the renderer negotiates WebGPU first and falls back to WebGL2 when required.
THE GAME / 06
Voxel Frontier is an original first-person voxel sandbox for desktop browsers. Every expedition begins from a numeric seed and grows into a deterministic world of rolling ground, buildable clearings, trees, crystals, wildlife, treasure and temporary power runes — with the player's changes saved locally.
01Seeded procedural worlds with streaming voxel chunks
02Break, collect and place eight block types
03Wildlife, treasure chests and three-minute power runes
04Keyboard, mouse and Xbox-style controller support
- 01SEED
Enter an adventure code to generate a deterministic frontier that can be revisited and continued.
- 02EXPLORE
Cross rolling ground, buildable clearings and sand shelves while looking for crystals, wildlife, landmarks and treasure.
- 03BREAK
Target blocks, mine materials and collect the resources that spill into the world.
- 04BUILD
Select one of eight hotbar materials and place it face by face to change the expedition permanently.
ONE SEED.
A WHOLE FRONTIER.
Voxel Frontier turns a short adventure code into a world that can be explored, reshaped and remembered. Hills, shelves, clearings, trees and luminous crystals are generated from the same deterministic rules every time.
The world is deliberately bright and approachable, but the systems underneath it are built as a real streaming voxel engine for the browser.
WALK IN.
BREAK GROUND.
BUILD OUT.
Move through the world in first person, mine the targeted block and place the selected material against an open face. Nine hotbar slots keep the core loop immediate: explore, collect, shape and keep moving.
The same seed restores the same terrain. Only the player's edits need to be remembered.

Explore a living woodland with flowers, mushrooms and crystals, with resource counters and the nine-slot building bar close at hand.
BREAK → COLLECT → PLACE
Explore layered meadows for crystals and treasure among trees, flowers and mushrooms.
VERSION 29 / HUD HIDDENGENERATE.
STREAM.
REMEMBER.
Terrain is built in prioritized chunks away from the main browser thread, then reduced to visible faces before it reaches the renderer. Distant chunks can disappear and return without changing the expedition.
- 01WebGPU is used when available, with a tested WebGL2 fallback.
- 02IndexedDB stores the seed, player position, settings and block edits.
- 03Unsupported save data returns to a recoverable start screen instead of breaking the world.
FOLLOW THE LIGHT.
FIND WHAT MOVES.
Wildlife and landmarks give the generated terrain a sense of direction. Treasure chests scatter collectible resources, while rare rune stones temporarily change movement, mining or fortune for three minutes.

DESKTOP HANDS.
CONTROLLER READY.
WASD + MOUSEMove, look, jump, sprint, break and place with direct first-person controls.
GAMEPADXbox-style sticks, triggers, bumpers and face buttons drive the same complete play loop.
FIELD CONSOLEPause, tune sensitivity, change render distance and control the original procedural audio layer.
