A moment noticed is a moment you can come back to.
HUMAN CONFIRMATION.
BEFORE AUTOMATION.
Patterns pairs a React and Next.js web app with an Expo and React Native iOS companion. TypeScript defines the pattern model; optional AI mapping runs through server-side endpoints rather than from the device.
THE APP / 03
Patterns is a self-reflection app for noticing recurring reactions and recognizing them closer to the moment they begin. It connects everyday situations, thoughts, body signals and responses into an editable personal map, with quick moment capture, optional AI-assisted reflection and insights grounded in what you record. The website and web app are live; an iOS companion is in development.

03Guided pauses and insights about recognition timing
04Live website and web app, plus an iOS companion in development
- 01DISCOVER
Describe a situation or work through guided discovery. Review a suggested pattern and decide whether it fits.
- 02NOTICE
Record a familiar moment before, during or after the response. A short catch is enough; a note is optional.
- 03PAUSE
Use the web app’s guided pause to name a feeling, notice an impulse and consider a response you would prefer.
- 04REFLECT
Look back at repeated contexts and the point where you noticed. The aim is earlier awareness, not a perfect streak.
LESS AUTOPILOT.
MORE AWARENESS.
You may notice yourself explaining too much when questioned, looking for reassurance while waiting for a reply, or avoiding a difficult task. Often, the pattern only becomes clear afterward.
Patterns was built to make those moments easier to recognize and revisit. It gives a recurring reaction a name and a little context, without turning that name into a verdict about who you are.
ONE MOMENT.
A LITTLE SPACE.
The Today view brings one pattern and its earliest warning signal into focus. Capture the moment when it returns, even if you only recognize it afterward. You do not need to write a journal entry to keep a useful record.

One pattern to watch for. One simple action when you notice it.
ACTUAL SCREEN / DEMO DATAA PATTERN.
NOT A LABEL.
A pattern connects a trigger to the story, emotion, body signal, impulse and response that follow. Keep several in view, choose a focus and revise the map as new moments add context.
AI can suggest a connection. You decide whether it belongs in your map.

Names remain editable. Suggestions require confirmation before they are saved.

DURING.
BEFORE.
The useful question is not only how often a pattern returns. It is when you recognize it. Insights brings recorded moments, recurring contexts and recognition timing together, and waits for enough catches before comparing trends.
This is a record of what you noticed—not a personality score or a promise of progress.

A slower review of the moments you recorded, without a score to chase.

IN YOUR POCKET.
Patterns has a live website and browser-based web app, alongside a native iOS companion built for iPhone. The iOS version is currently a development preview, not an App Store release.

Quick catches and a daily focus, designed for the moments away from your desk.
AI-ASSISTED DEVICE MOCKUP
The same reflective idea, translated into a native mobile interface.

YOUR WORDS.
YOUR CHOICE.
Local by default. The web app keeps data in the browser, with optional Google account sync. The current iOS companion keeps reflections on the device; cross-platform account sync is not yet available in that preview.
Optional AI assistance. When requested, the relevant text is sent through the server to OpenAI for mapping or reflection. The suggestion still needs your review; it is not treated as a diagnosis.
A reflection tool. Patterns supports observation and personal reflection. It is not a medical service or a substitute for professional care.
MAKE ROOM TO NOTICE
Use Patterns on the web today. The native iOS companion is in development and can be previewed through Expo Go; an App Store download is not available yet. Patterns is a tool for self-reflection, not diagnosis or treatment.
